Högg profiles open up many new possibilities for you. Regardless of the material, we supply you with precise profiles that are individually adapted to your needs. With dimensional tolerances in the micrometre range, we manufacture profiles in all metallic materials.

On special machines we profile your profiles in a specially developed process. The continuous milling process offers many advantages over drawn, rolled or pressed profiles:

Minimum quantities

We require no minimum quantities. As our special machines are easy and quick to set up, we offer you the possibility to produce even the smallest quantities. The problem is well known: often one would like to use a profile, but the order quantity would be too small. Here we can offer you a solution. We produce for you from one metre to several kilometres, depending on the profile and requirements.

Delivery times

Usually profiles take long to be produced, the delivery times are long and you put a larger stock in your warehouse. Högg profiles are different. The shortest delivery times open up new potential in logistics. It is no longer necessary to keep large stocks. We supply you with the requirements you need at short notice and on the right date.

Materials

As our process is independent of the material, we can supply you with profiles in almost all metallic materials. Profiles in high-tensile steel (Inconel, Hasteloy,…), stainless steel or titanium alloys are also possible.

Dimensional tolerances

Depending on the process, we offer you the tightest tolerances and can produce final contours directly. This eliminates the finishing processes that are required for rolled or pressed profiles and production costs can be saved.

Design

By means of the specially developed continuous milling process, we can make shapes possible for you that would not be possible with conventional processes. Thin-walled stainless steel profiles, filigree titanium profiles or profiles with deep thin slits. The possibilities are almost unlimited.

Support in development

Short delivery times, small quantities, low tool costs, free choice of materials. All this enables the designer to test ideas at short notice during the development process and to quickly produce prototypes and functional models. No wonder that our profiles are very popular in development.

Cutting/trimming

Cost-effective blanks from profile. On several automatic cutting machines we turn your profiles into individual parts (almost burr-free) and, depending on the requirements and profile, with an accuracy of ±0.02 mm. On request, we trowalise (vibratory grinding) the parts and deliver them cleaned and cleanly packed.

CNC machining

Our large machine park offers a suitable solution for every profile finishing. Whether on the bar up to 6 metres or as a short, cut-to-length individual part. As a professional in mechanical processing, we also have the right solution for you for the production of the finished component.

Sliding block production

For the production of sliding blocks, a profile is the ideal starting material. The company Högg has specially equipped itself for the production of special sliding blocks.

Profile sanding/belt sanding

If the profiles have to be even more precise, the technology of profile grinding is the best choice. We can regrind profiles up to a maximum length of 2 metres or produce them directly using full cut grinding technology. Profiles up to 6 metres long can be brought to the desired surface quality by belt grinding.

Profile bending

Every now and then we do a few “crooked things”. Do you need curved or turned profiles? As a profile specialist, we also offer you a complete solution in this case. We are able to bend profiles into your desired shape, as a single piece or as a complete series.

Profile straightening

Guide rails, blades, scales, everything must be precise and straight. On our straightening presses we align straightness and torsion according to your requirements and needs.

Profile finishing

You have a drawn, pressed or rolled profile but would like to rework it?
On our special machines we offer you the possibility of reworking existing profiles in the continuous milling process. In this way, dimensions can be adjusted to existing profiles or sharp edges and corners can be reworked. Even deep slots, which cannot be inserted during drawing processes, can be made subsequently. The continuous milling process allows these adjustments to be made very efficiently and cost-effectively.

Profile blanks

Reduce your parts costs.
Cost advantage also for small and medium series. Use profile blanks to produce your parts more efficiently. Högg offers you the matching blanks. Profile blanks can be produced cost-effectively as yard goods and by simple cutting to length and reworking to form complex individual parts.

Sliding blocks

For the production of sliding blocks, a profile is the ideal starting material. The company Högg has specially equipped itself for the production of special sliding blocks.

Sliding blocks can be ideally manufactured from profile material. We mill these profiles in small quantities on special machines in a continuous process so that we can offer our customers an ideal manufacturing process even for small quantities. For larger quantities, drawn, pressed or rolled profiles are used to produce the sliding blocks. In a second step, the profiles are then further processed into sliding blocks on various machines (rotary transfer machines, automated CNC milling and grinding machines). They are cut to length, drilled, milled or, if necessary, ground. And finally – according to your wishes – surface-treated, laser-marked, cleaned, etc.

The production is automated in order to produce smaller quantities with special requirements that deviate from the standard sliding blocks. The systems are quickly set up and optimally designed for the production of sliding blocks.
